Small Business / Private Sector Economy
Free market and private sector small business industry are a cornerstone of economy in eastern and central Washington. We have witnessed what support of these entities over the past 4 years can produce, a thriving economy and the lowest unemployment rates in years pre COVID 19 pandemic. In the wake of the devastation the pandemic has caused we have witnessed firsthand what the result of loss of small business economy will do to Washington state, and we must fight to protect it at all cost. We are all essential.
I will support policies and bills that both recover and grow our economy. I will oppose bills and policy that result in increased governmental regulation and complex/increased taxes to private sector business. I will advocate to aggressively and safely reopen and rebuild. I will call for transparent and expedient release of federal stimulus disbursement in Washington as we rebuild our state and advocate for funds to be dispersed equitably and directed toward propelling small business forward. Long term economic stability will not be the result of ongoing governmental stimulus and federal overreach of power, but rather getting Washington and America back to work with a safe and common sense-based approach.
